Our People's Voice

Storytelling Series

Our People's Voice

Our People’s Voice was conceived as a project intended to capture and share important Native American perspectives, relationships, and experiences. These recorded conversations provide a personal look into what often become broader social and cultural themes. Ultimately, we hope these stories reveal a collective pride and unity for all listeners who bring an open mind and heart.

These recorded conversations are intended to align with Salish Kootenai College’s mission objective of “cultural perpetuation” and will address related themes, keeping in mind the SKC mission: to provide quality post-secondary educational opportunities and support for Native Americans, locally and from throughout the United States, to achieve their academic and career goals. The College will perpetuate the cultures of the Selis, Ksanka, and Qlispe’ peoples. The College will impact its community through service and research.
